Use chimney caps and chimney cowls to get a better insulation

Chimney caps and balloons

It’s estimated that between 80-85% of the heat in a room can be lost through an open fireplace, so it's important to block them when not in use.

If you have one or more open chimneys in your home you can combat this heat loss by fitting caps over the chimney pots, which will prevent warm air escaping and cold air coming in.

If you use your fireplaces occasionally, you can block them temporarily with inflatable chimney balloons.
